Emerson changes from Saab Rosemount to Rosemount
GOTHENBURG, SWEDEN (February 26, 2007) -- Emerson Process Management has announced a change in the brand name of the companys TankRadar® gauging systems from Saab Rosemount to Rosemount. The products have kept the Saab part of the name during a six-year transition since Emerson acquired Saabs TankRadar® line in 2001.Emerson Process Management will carry on the dedication to the market leading TankRadar® technology that made the acquired company successful from the beginning.
The only change for customers will be the disappearance of the Saab name from the product brand. Customers will reap the benefits from the continued development of the Rosemount TankRadar technology within the Emerson Process Management organization. Emerson Process Management, with its Rosemount TankRadar products is the world leader in radar-based tank gauging systems invented by the acquired Saab company 30 years ago. The company has a strong presence in the oil, processing and marine industries. In addition to development and manufacturing in Gothenburg, Sweden the company also has development facilities in Linköping and Jönköping. Subsidiaries are located in several parts of the world, including India, North America, UK and the Middle East.
