Northwire forms government business unit
The senior director to lead Northwire's government business unit, Paul PierAgostini has more than 15 years of strategic planning, business development, and program and product management experience in the defense industry. His exceptional industry knowledge and leadership skills will enhance the company’s continued commitment to provide combat-proven, budget-compliant cables delivered fast with no minimum order length or quantity requirements.
Prior to joining Northwire, PierAgostini served as director for defense programs, senior manager for new business development and senior buyer, cost-price analyst for a multibillion-dollar original equipment manufacturer. PierAgostini is also a retired United States Army officer.
"Northwire's government business unit, led by Paul PierAgostini, will ensure that our performance-tested and guaranteed technical and retractile cables are easy for government customers to purchase, while exceeding stringent technical requirements of this market segment," says Mike Conger, president, Northwire. “We have the shortest lead times in the industry and on-time delivery. Whether for a hand-held communication device or an unmanned aerial vehicle, Northwire is well positioned to meet government agencies’ needs for rugged, reliable cable."
Northwire's experienced engineers and technical professionals provide no-cost design and prototyping services and assistance with navigating standards that include military-specification (mil-spec), military-standard (mil-std), Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), Federal Trade Commission (FTC), Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), National Electrical Manufactures Association (NEMA) and others.
Northwire, a woman-owned company, is ISO 9000:2008 certified and is involved in continuous improvement processes, including Six Sigma®, Lean, Project Management and American Society of Quality. The company's quality control laboratory is a certified testing facility for CSA under ISO 17025. This laboratory subjects the company's cable products to tests that surpass real-world conditions, including the extremes of bending, flexing, flame, impact, crush and temperature. Northwire also maintains various UL, CSA, IEEE and MSHA approvals and works closely with suppliers to offer RoHS-compliant materials.
