ProSoft Technology to sell FieldServer QuickServer gateways
June 30, 2011 - ProSoft Technology will distribute QuickServer Protocol Gateways from FieldServer Technologies for BACnet, LonWorks and JCI Metasys N2 networks The QuickServer gateways enable communication between these common building automation protocols and several of the more pervasive serial and Ethernet protocols, including EtherNet/IP and Modbus TCP/IP.
As an added benefit to users, ProSoft Technology offers a new option to purchase custom configuration services for both the QuickServer and SlotServer products. QuickServer gateways come with a two year manufacturer’s warranty from FieldServer Technologies.
An Industrial Solution for Building Automation Applications
Energy efficiency is a growing priority for organizations, especially large facilities or mission critical applications such as hospitals and research centers, where specific climate and environmental controls are integral. Many organizations already have control infrastructures in place capable of managing these applications, but controllers such as CompactLogix, ControlLogix, and M340 require additional communication modules to interface with the smart devices and meters, in order to acquire the necessary data to efficiently monitor, trend and control energy usage. These devices often operate via specialty building protocols such as BACnet, LonWorks and JCI Metasys N2. QuickServer gateways provide the interface between industrial controllers and these devices, via standard Ethernet or serial interfaces. This enables management of lighting control systems, energy management systems, HVAC, security and a variety of other building automation services, at even the enterprise level.
