The sensing distance range is from 0.2 cm up to 6 meters depending on the model selected.

		ASI announces spring clamp connection terminal blocks - 12/11/06 These spring clamp blocks come as small as 4 mm wide for a 16 AWG wire, all the way up to a 16 mm wide terminal that will handle a 2 AWG wire. They carry ratings from 15 amps at 300 volts up to 115 amps at 600 volts.

		ASI announces specialty cordsets and sensor connectors - 11/20/06 The multiple cable cordsets feature the popular M12 connectors and are available in one connector wired to 2 or 3 separate M12 connectors in both male or female and combinations of both types. Also available is a T connector which can act as a splitter in order to connect two individual cables to a distribution box.

		ASI announces Double Level Miniature Terminal Block - 11/13/06 ASIMBKKB series offers two circuits in one terminal block that can be mounted on either a 15mm or 35mm DIN rail. It has a current rating up to 20 amps at 300 volts and a wiring capacity of 30-10 AWG. Space is saved in a cabinet along the DIN rail due to the two wiring levels which allows the block to have a double packing density.

		ASI announces 3 and 5 amp Power Supplies - 11/06/06 The UL508-listed XCSF3 3 amp, and XCSF5 5 amp, power supplies have a universal voltage input of 90- 264 Vac. These power supplies feature pluggable wiring connections for easy installation in addition to short circuit, overload, over temperature and input/output over voltage protection. The power supplies are also available in parallel and alarm signal versions. A 10% discount applies in November. .

		ASI introduces safe 10A Single Phase Switching Power Supply - 10/31/06 CSF-10 A Switching Power Supply has a wide range input (120-230 Vac, 110 Vdc), adjustable 24 Vdc output, is available in a parallel version, and is suited for both SELV and PELV circuitry. The unit complies with all parameters set by the Low voltage Directive and EMI standards.

		ASI announces Programmable Fiber Optic Sensors - 10/23/06 AF Series sensors feature an easy to use sensitivity adjustment along with a keyboard so that adjustments cannot be changed once set. The small compact unit conveniently mounts onto a DIN rail and fiber optic cables of 2 meters can be ordered.

		ASI introduces DC Circuit Breakers - 10/13/06 QY series are rated from 1 to 50 amps at up to 80 VDC. At 13mm wide, the DC is the thinnest DIN rail mounted breaker on the market with a UL489 listing.

		ASI expands line of Compact DIN Rail Mount Power Supplies - 10/03/06 The line has been expanded to include the CSD15C with 24 Vdc at 6A; CSD30C with 24 Vdc at 1.25A; CSD50C with 24 Vdc at 2.2A; CSD15B with 12 Vdc at 1.25A; CSD50B with 12 to 15 Vdc at 3A; a three phase power supply; and one that functions at +/- 12 or +/- 15 Vdc at 6 Amps. The new compact power supplies are Class 2 isolation devices which means that they do not require ground connections.

		ASI Introduces Pluggable Terminal Blocks - 09/26/06 The ASIUK3MVSTB508 has a current rating up to 20 amps at 300 volts and a wiring capacity of 26 to 12 AWG. This UL rated terminal block is similar to other IEC terminal blocks because it mounts on a DIN rail, but on one side there is a pin header on 5.08mm spacing that accepts popular plug-in terminal blocks.

		ASI announces Sensor Distribution Boxes - 09/19/06 Sensor distribution boxes are available in 4, 6 or 8 ports with or without a molded cable and in both M8 and M12 connector sizes. The sensor distribution boxes reduce installation time and wiring costs while making a system/equipment totally modular. In addition, these boxes can fit in tight spaces and perform in harsh environments.

		ASI announces Modular Temperature Sensor Conditioners - 09/11/06 The new line of temperature sensor converters and isolators accepts an input of PT100 RTD or type J or K thermocouple temperature sensors with an analog output range of 0-10V, 0-20mA or 4-20mA. These DIN-ail mounted modules are as narrow as 17.5mm thereby saving space in the cabinet. The customer can easily program the unit's temperature range and output signal via rotary or dip switches.

		Automation Systems Interconnect announces Modular Fuse Holders - 09/05/06 DIN rail mounted fuse holders accept industry standard fuses: Midget, normally used in control circuits, and the Class CC that is used in branch circuit protection. Available in single, double and triple pole versions, with or without LED blown fuse indication, these fuse holders provide for up to 30A at 600V. A 10% discount is in effect.

		ASI announces Parallel Versions of DIN Power Supplies - 08/28/06 Parallel versions feature internal ORing diodes and an alarm contact which makes them ideal for redundant and back-up applications. The parallel versions offer a 24 VDC output in both single-phase and three phase inputs with 3, 5, 10, 20 and 30 amp capacity. In addition these power supplies feature an auto-ranging input, wide operating temperature range, high efficiency and UL508C listing.

		ASI introduces Modular Fuse Holders for Class CC and Midget Fuses - 08/22/06 Available in single, double and triple pole versions, with or without LED blown fuse indication, these fuse holders provide for up to 30A at 600V. The UL approved fuse holders provide a touch-proof housing design and the fuse is completely removed from the circuit during replacement.

		ASI releases high current terminal blocks - 08/15/06 The ASIUKH series was designed for applications that require terminating wire as large as 500 MCM and handle as much as 380 amps at 600 volts. Because the ASIUKH terminal blocks are fully enclosed, users do not need to purchase additional end covers.

		ASI introduces multiple wire terminal blocks - 08/08/06 Automation Systems Interconnect Multiple Wire Terminal Blocks, sometimes called “twin conductor terminal blocks,” allow for the connection of two or more conductors to one terminal block.

		ASI releases new DIN Rail terminal block catalog - 07/25/06 The new “DIN Rail Terminal Blocks” catalog features a broad line of terminal blocks that are the identical equivalents to the Phoenix Contact UKN series. The terminal blocks are identical in color, design, dimensions, specifications and materials.

		ASI introduces DIN solenoid valve connectors - 07/18/06 DIN 43650 valve connectors are mainly used with solenoid valves in hydraulic and pneumatic applications. In addition, these connectors are also used in electrical applications for pressure switches, filter switches, limit switches and special sensors.

		ASI introduces miniature terminal blocks that are equivalents to Phoenix Contact - 07/11/06 Miniature Terminal Blocks mount directly on a 15mm DIN rail and are ideal for applications where space is limited or where the application has small enclosures. 		New custom DIN rail terminal block assemblies built to customer specs - 06/29/06 Customers have the option of sending in a drawing or using the EZ-Rail design software found online at the ASI website. Once we receive a request we can normally provide an engineering drawing and a quotation in a matter of days.

		Allen Bradley and Weidmuller teminal block equivalents - 06/27/06 ASI is the first company to address the complaints of customers that the terminal blocks are not really equivalent due to differences of color, the requirement for different accessories and a lack of different models. Their new terminal blocks are molded from a UL 94V0 material and are UL recognized. The color of the housings is the same so there are no visual differences in the terminal blocks.

		Single side wiring terminal blocks - 06/19/06 The new ASIUK5RETURN can be mounted almost directly up against the side of the panel or equipment wall thereby allowing for better utilization of space for other components in the system. Another option is to mount the ASIUK5RETURN in a double row configuration with the backs of the terminal blocks against each other which gives the customer the ability to have a considerable amount of wiring in a small amount of space. With this non-traditional design, the customer can now consider these and many other ways of laying a wiring panel that will best suit the application and make maximum use of the space allotted for wiring and other components.

		Terminal blocks equivalent to A-B, Phoenix Contact and Weidmuller products - 06/06/06 The unique feature of these products is that they are identical to the point where customers can use the accessories that they now have in stock. The color of the housings is the same so there are no visual differences and they are molded from a UL 94V0 material. The metal clamping bodies are made of a nickel-plated copper alloy, the screws are plated to prevent corrosion and all materials are Rohs compliant. The terminal blocks are UL recognized like the competitive products and there is a wide range of accessories and styles available.

		Automation Systems Interconnect announces DIN-Rail Circuit Breakers - 05/31/06 The expanded circuit breaker product line includes UL 1077 supplemental protection, UL 489 branch circuit protection and a new DC breaker family with UL489 listing. Their high density, 13mm housing design saves up to 30% of the space compared to other breakers. The QZ supplemental protection or UL 1077 breakers are now available in single, two and three pole versions from 0.5 amp to 50 amps.

		ASI expands Sensor Cable and Connector Lines - 05/22/06 Customers will now have a molded cable choice with M12 male or female, straight or 90 degree angle connectors, with or without LED indication in 3, 4, 5, or 8 poles. The cable material can be PVC, Shielded or PUR and they are also available in Y assemblies where one connector can be wired with two cables leading to two separate connectors. The Y assemblies are an ideal method to expand the ports on hard wired distribution boxes.

		ASI Introduces IDC to Screw Clamp Terminal Block - 05/16/06 The NCV Insulation Displacement Connection to Screw Clamp Terminal Blocks offers a traditional screw-clamp connection on one side of the block and the IDC on the other. At the same size of a regular terminal block, it is 50% smaller than competitive blocks, allowing an OEM) to save up to 70% in labor time by utilizing the IDC connection in the factory while providing the convenience of a screw clamp connection for the end user in the field.
