		FDI group will organize fieldbus - 09/27/11 FDT Group, Fieldbus Foundation, HART Communication Foundation, PROFIBUS & PROFINET International and OPC Foundation founded FDI to establish an organization to manage device integration.

		PTO updates Profibus and Profinet web site - 09/30/09 website offers up-to-date technical information, lists resources and contacts, and describes education, integration support, and certification lab services.

		PTO appoints Victor Wolowec to Board of Directors - 04/10/08 Wolowec is Vice-president, Solutions Business at Endress+Hauser. He is replacing former PTO Board member Todd Hubbell.

		Annual sales of PROFIBUS reach 3.4 million nodes - 03/30/07 Annual sales of PROFIBUS nodes reached a new high of 3.4 million in 2006 according to figures just released by PI (PROFIBUS and PROFINET International). This brings the total number of PROFIBUS nodes installed worldwide to 18.8 million. PROFIBUS remains on track to surpass 20 million nodes by 2008.

		PTO offers Free PROFINET 2007 Developer Workshops One-day Workshops will be held in 2007 on July 31 in Scottsdale, AZ and a date to be determined in October in Boston, MA. The Workshops will provide potential PROFINET device developers, development managers and product marketers with a wide range of technical information, including PROFINET vendor presentations.

		PROFIBUS Trade Organization Announces New Certification Training Courses - 02/20/06 The PROFIBUS Trade Organization (PTO) and the PROFI Interface Center (PIC) announced two new courses as part of the PROFItech Certification Training Course program for 2006. The two new classes added to the program include a PROFIBUS Installer’s Class and a PROFINET Certified Network Engineering Class.
