ORBexpress RT now supports LynxOS-SE real-time operating system (RTOS). Developers can use both to build safe and secure military and aerospace systems. ORBexpress is based on the Real-time Common Object Request Broker Architecture (CORBA) standard that enables real-time and embedded devices in heterogeneous environments to communicate seamlessly. LynxOS-SE is POSIX and ARINC 653-1 compliant, highly desired in military and avionics applications.
Objective Interface announces middleware that supports TI’s DaVinci processors

ORBexpress, based on the CORBA standard, allows embedded developers to use the performance benefits of TI’s DaVinci technology. ORBexpress enables code portability across both the TMS320C64x+ DSP and ARM cores of the DM644x devices, speeding development of a host of digital video processing applications—client-side video, security video surveillance, set-top boxes, video phones, and automotive vision systems.

ISR Technologies selects ORBexpress middleware for Xilinx-based JTRS SDR development kit

The JTRS SDR development kit, jointly developed by Xilinx and ISR Technologies, is the industry’s first to support partial reconfiguration within the complete Software Communications Architecture (SCA). This makes it the first complete SCA development platform for developing, verifying and demonstrating any waveform on a SCA-enabled System-on-a-Chip (SoC) platform using partial reconfiguration in a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA). ORB express RT serves as the sole Object Request Broker (ORB) supported by the JTRS SDR Kit.
Objective Interface's ORBexpress Communications Middleware Now Supports ThreadX RTOS from Express Logic

Objective Interface customers will now be able to use the royalty-free ThreadX RTOS—which occupies only a tiny footprint on the embedded target—in resource-constrained applications such as digital cameras, wireless systems and audio processors. Objective Interface developers will also use ThreadX to design high-performance, highly deterministic embedded applications, such as factory floor controllers, advanced telemetry systems and medical electronics.
