		United Electric announced UEIModbus I/O module - 03/22/07 UEIModbus Ethernet-based data acquisition and control interface communicates with a host computer or PLC over Modbus TCP. It functions as a Modbus slave easily accessed by any software client acting as a Modbus master.

		UEI publishes application note for linking data logger over cellular networks Application note details how to interface the company's UEILogger data logger to a host computer over a cellular network. Using a high speed Cellular/CDMA/GSM link allows the user to download data from the logger as well as check the logger status from any internet connection.

		United Electronic announces UEIPAC Programmable Automation Controllers - 02/01/07 The UEIPAC Cube is a complete, self contained controller and includes an embedded computer running standard Linux operating system, two Ethernet ports, a serial port, an SD Card interface, an inter-PAC sync interface and either three or six slots for I/O boards. The Cubes are rugged, having been tested from -40 °C to +85 °C, at 5g vibration, 50g shock and up to 70,000 feet.

		United Electric releases DNA-AO-308 analog output boards - 01/17/07 The boards offer 8 analog output channels with maximum update rates of 100 kHz per channel (800 kHz per board), 1500 Volts of isolation, one D/A per channel (allows simultaneous D/A updates), double buffering, low glitch outputs, and three utility digital I/O channels. The boards work with the company's PowerDNA data acquisition system.

		UEI releases High Speed Fiberoptic Interface for DAQ system - 01/08/07 The fiber interface extends the maximum distance between a PowerDNA I/O Cube and its host computer from the 100 meter Ethernet/100BASE-T limitation to 2 kilometers. The 2 km limitation reflects the use of standard, off-the-shelf multimode fiber.

		UEI adds QNX to its data acquisition system - 12/18/06 UEI added complete QNX Real Time Operating System (RTOS) support for its PowerDNA series of data acquisition and control cubes. With the new PowerDNA QNX library, QNX developers can take advantage of the deterministic timing afforded by QNX. The Library may be deployed on any host computer running the QNX RTOS and connected to the PowerDNA cube over the Ethernet (10/100baseT).

		UEI announces Data loggers/recorders - 12/05/06 UEILogger series of data loggers/recorders provide up to 150 A/D channels or 288 digital I/O. Each logger is matched to the user application by installing the appropriate I/O boards in up to 6 I/O slots. Loggers require no programming. The logging application is configured using a simple, intuitive, Windows-based application that sets up the logger and extracts data from the logger’s memory.

		United Electric releases data logger catalog - 11/02/06 The free catalog introduces 10 new products including the UEILogger family and an embedded Linux toolkit for the company's PowerDNA product line. The catalog can be downloaded as a PDF.

		Weed Instrument announces Industrial Ethernet Ring Switch at ISA Expo 2006 - 10/18/06 EOTec 2104 Industrial Ethernet Ring Switch offers the performance features of a managed switch with the simplicity of an unmanaged switch. It comes preconfigured for ring redundancy, has self-healing ring topology, and allows for real-time data transfer with IEEE 802.3 Ethernet compliance.

		UEI announces 25-Channel, 24-bit Analog Input Board - 10/17/06 DNA-AI-225 analog input board has 25 differential input channels with 24-bit resolution and a maximum sampling rate of 1 kS/s per channel (25 kS/s aggregate for the board). The AI-225 has a separate A/D converter for each channel. This configuration eliminates the noise and offset errors associated with multiplexed inputs and at the same time allows all 25 channels to be sampled simultaneously.

		UEI announces Serial I/O board and Synchronous Interface - 10/11/06 The DNA-SL-501 serial I/O layer/board offers 4 fully independent, isolated RS-232, 422 or 485 ports with maximum data transfer rates up to 1 megabit per second in RS-422/485 mode. Ports are fully configured with software and different ports may have different configurations. Also released is a hardware Synchronization interface for the PowerDNA cube.
