ABB to update Sun Paper's China mill with System 800xA
Sun Paper has worked with ABB on a number of successful projects at the Shandong mill over the years. This experience, combined with System 800xAs leading edge integration capabilities, ABBs vast Pulp and Paper industry expertise and ability to provide engineering, maintenance and other related services, contributed to this project win. In addition, ABBs excellent reputation of ongoing system support, forward evolution path and track record of installed base investment protection were important factors.
ABBs scope of supply for this project includes System 800xA to control, monitor and optimize operation of the new paper machine and integrate other systems and devices; the system will include 11 operator workplaces and over 5,000 I/O points. ABB will also provide related engineering and installation services.
System start up is scheduled for March 2010,
