Description

This is an introductory course (8 hours) for Open Space and Guided Wave Radar Level for maintenance and engineering personnel. We will dedicate a half day to each technology to give you a basic understanding of these level technologies. The class will be a combination of classroom and hands-on training on either the PTU™™ (Process Training Unit), a full-scale, working process skid with on-line instrumentation and controls, or live instruments in training stands designed to simulate operating conditions. At the conclusion of the course, attendees should be able to:
• Achieve a basic knowledge of these two level technologies and understand the strengths and limitations of each
• Work with instrumentation specialists to specify the best type of level technology for a variety of applications
• Set up and commission E+H Radar & Guided Wave level instruments
• Use on-board and pc-based tools within E+H instruments to verify the health of the instrument and its signals
• Diagnose and correct problems associated with radar level systems
The course will specifically cover:
• Guided Radar
• High & Low Frequency Radar
• E+H FieldCare Software Tooling
8 PDH (Professional Development Hours) available upon completion of the entire course.
