2 Good Software releases free Trend Importer 4

September 23, 2011 – With Trend Importer 4, building automation trend data can be quickly collected from raw trend logs stored in delimited and fixed width text files as well as SQL, MySQL, Access and dBase databases. On the export side, any collected trend data, regardless of source, can be easily and accurately combined to create trend matrix files that are structured by the user.

  • Date range which does not have to be the same as trend data date ranges
  • Column sequence
  • Column captions
  • Sampling interval which does not have to be the same as the trend data intervals
  • Change of value and smoothing techniques

A trend matrix can be exported that is ready for import into spreadsheet programs such as Excel. Matrix files can be created that are upload ready for Facility Dynamics’ PACRAT Tool. Trend Importer also exports UT files that are ready to drop into the PG&E Universal Translator analysis tool.

No special training is needed to use the application. If a person understands Windows Explorer, they are well on their way to understanding how to use Trend Importer 4. Currently in beta testing, the program is free to install and use while testing is in progress. The beta copy of Trend Importer 4 is fully functional with no restrictions on use. The link for installing Trend Importer 4 beta is located on the below 2 Good Software web page.
