HANNOVER MESSE 2007, 16 April to 20 April August 11, 2006 - Initial talks between the German Engineering Federation (VDMA), Deutsche Messe AG, and leading suppliers of IT-based services promise an exciting new addition to the range of topics at the leading trade fair Digital Factory 2007 that will benefit exhibitors and visitors alike. Twelve companies have already responded to the invitation and registered their interest in presenting their portfolios at Digital Factory during HANNOVER MESSE 2007 (the Hannover Fair). These include: across Systems, empolis, Siemens AG A&D MC, Siemens I&S, IBM, IDS Scheer, Infoman, Infor, Innosoft, Prostep, SA Service Alliance, and the Research Institute for Rationalization and Operations Management at RWTH Aachen. The new main display category "IT-based Services, perfectly complements the existing categories "Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)" and "Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)." All three are centered on digital products and the processes based on digital technology and software that have evolved in industry. On today's global market, a diverse range of IT-based services are essential to any mechanical and plant engineering activities. The portfolio of IT-based services on offer in this sector ranges from commissioning and maintenance to help desks, field services, performance management, technical documentation, teleservices, and condition monitoring. The new main display category is the icing on the cake for Digital Factory. All the industry could possibly need in terms of IT tools for the development, manufacturing, marketing and ongoing support of products can be found here to an extent that is unparalleled in the arena of international trade fairs. The next Digital Factory is set to take place during HANNOVER MESSE 2007 from 16 to 20 April. |
