ABB publishes brochure on Aztec 600 water analyzers
January 25, 2011 - Eight-page, full-color, illustrated brochure from ABB describes Aztec 600 colorimetric analyzers for potable water applications. According to the brochure, the Aztec range of compact analyzers provides all the advanced features that a water treatment plant requires. Additionally, the analyzers are simple to install, operate and maintain. The brochure notes that these analyzers combine proven and patented "wet technology" with the advanced electronic platform of ABB’s ScreenMaster data recorders.

The analyzers provide online monitoring of aluminum, iron and manganese. The brochure says that adjusting the dose of oxidant based on these concentration levels entering the plant can result in both chemical and energy savings.

Advanced capabilities of these analyzers include automatic two-point calibration, multiple sample measurements, and a self-cleaning optical path, Additional analyzer features discussed in the brochure are powerful on-board graphical trending and data logging, a modular design, and self-diagnostics. Communication capabilities offered include standard fieldbus networking and email notifications. The brochure concludes with information on ABB services for installation, commissioning, maintenance, and training.

ABB is a leader in power and automation technologies that enable utility and industry customers to improve their performance while lowering environmental impact. The ABB Group of companies operates in around 100 countries and employs about 107,000 people.
