February 23, 2011, Lewisburg, WV, USA - ABB added over 50 jobs in the past 6 months at its Lewisburg, West Virginia factory. This expansion is being driven by a surge in demand for its gas chromatographs, pH sensors and other products.

The Lewisburg factory is currently working flat-out to keep-up with demand and is adding additional production lines. Frank DeThomas, factory manager, explained: "We are very pleased with the strong surge in orders we have seen over the past several months, although it has lead to extended delivery times for some of our products. The additional employees and expanded production lines will help us meet the increase in demand and improve our delivery times."

ABB’s online analyzer business has a reputation for producing analytical solutions that meet the toughest applications.

ABB is a leader in power and automation technologies that enable utility and industry customers to improve performance while lowering environmental impact. The ABB Group of companies operates in around 100 countries and employs about 124,000 people.
