Acrosser introduces Model AR-ES8020FL PC/104+ embedded computer

December 3, 2008 - Acrosser Technology released a PC/104-Plus product: Model AR-ES8020FL. With its high reliability CPU (RDC R8610 supporting 133MHz), 64MB onboard memory, and 128MB onboard Flash Storage, the AR-ES8020FL is perfect for many embedded computing applications.

The AR-ES8020FL is equipped with a 128MB onboard Flash Storage. This module can easily fit a DOS, WinCE, Embedded Linux or other small size OS; it can also be used for data back up or other security features. Superior to a Hard Drive, Flash operates well in turbulent situations and environments, giving it a higher reliability with regards to data read/write and storage. In harsh environments, the light-weight and compact metal enclosure provides good protection of the CPU board, prevents dust intrusion and results in good EMC compliance.

The AR-ES8020FL is a fanless design embedded box computer. Its small form factor [150x145x51 mm (DxWxH)] is great for compact and other applications where space is an issue. It has several standard embedded computing I/O: 3 COM ports, 1 LAN, 1 FDC, 1 IDE, 8 GPIO, 2 USB and PS/2 KB/MS. It provides the two PC/104-Plus interfaces: 16-bit ISA and 32-bit PCI; both of which provide excellent opportunities for future expansion.

A Programmable 1~255 seconds watch dog timer, RTC and boot from LAN features give customer applications higher reliability and easier maintenance. A single 5V power supply makes installation simple. With 2 indication LEDs for power and hard drive, the operator can easily check the system’s functionality. Besides PC/104+ CPU card, Acrosser also provides a variety of extension modules for PC/104+, such as Compact Flash Card adapter, VGA Display, COM ports and more.
