| Advantech Launches First USB-Based Multifunctional I/O |
.jpg) (Cincinnati, Ohio) - The Industrial Automation Group of Advantech introduces the USB-4711. This is the first USB-based multifunctional I/O module. USB-4711 is a plug & play data acquisition module with no need to open the chassis to install. USB-4711 features a 100KS/s 12-bit A/D converter with an on-board 1K sample FIFO buffer. USB-4711 provides a total of up to 16-single ended A/D input channels, two 12-bit D/A output channels, 8 digital inputs, 8 digital outputs, and one event counter. The key features of the USB-4711 include, USB 2.0 interface, on-board screw terminals for wiring, 16 AI, 12-bit resolution, 100KS/s, 2 AO, 8 DI and 8 DO, Windows driver, and ActiveX and LabVIEW driver support. USB-4711 is reliable and rugged enough for industrial applications as well as home projects and, is perfect for adding measurement and control capability to any computer with an USB port. USB-4711 is suitable for portable Data Acquisition and Industrial Automation applications and obtains all required power from the USB port, no external power supply is need.
