 The ADAM-4510I is a RS-422/485 repeater and the ADAM-4520I is a RS-232 to RS-422/485 converter starting at $175 and $120 respectively. (Cincinnati, Ohio – 08/24/2006) - The eAutomation Group of Advantech introduces the ADAM-4510I, an isolated RS-422/485 repeater, and the ADAM-4520I isolated RS-232 to RS-422/485 converter. The industrial-grade features ensure robust and reliable operation in harsh environment applications. The ADAM-4510I and 4520I have a wide operating temperature range of -40 ~ 85° C, automatic RS-485 data flow control, 3,000 Vdc isolation protection, surge protection RS-485 data line, transmission speed up to 115.2 Kbps, networking up to 1,200 meter (4,000 feet), reserved space for termination resistors, power and data flow indicator for troubleshooting, power requirement +10 to +30 Vdc with power reversal protection, and mounts easily on a DIN-rail, panel, or piggyback. The ADAM-4510I and 4520I start respectively at $175 and $120 and is available for purchase directly from Advantech.
