Advantech Industrial Automation Group News
| Advantech launches two Desktop/Wallmount Industrial-Grade Chassis | ||

The IPC-5120 and IPC-7120 are compact industrial-grade chassis starting at $278 and $290 respectively. (Cincinnati, Ohio 10/25/2006) - The eAutomation Group of Advantech introduces the IPC-5120 supporting a Micro-ATX motherboard with up to four half length PCI slots, and the IPC-7120 supporting a standard ATX motherboard and up to seven half length PCI slots. Both chassis are RoHS compliant, bracketed for wallmount or desktop applications, and are only 12.1 deep. These chassis employ the latest ID conventions, that is, industrial design with focus on function, ergonomics, and aesthetics. The front-accessible I/O interfaces and expansion slots are one example of ID providing shorter mean-time-to repair (MTTR). The front access I/O includes keyboard and mouse PS/2, LAN, USB, and video ports, as well as the power cord connector. All drive bays provide shock-resistant mounting with front access for one full height 5.25 drive and one 3.5 drive and an additional internal 3.5 bay. Both chassis also provide streamlined in-chassis rear-in/front-out airflow with one 85 CFM fan and one 10 CFM fan and a replaceable filter to support the newer high performance LGA775 Pentium 4 processors. All of this is supported by a powerful 1U 300W ATX/PFC power supply. The IPC-5120 and IPC-7120 are ideal rugged solutions where a compact full feature chassis is required. They start at $278 and $290 respectively and are available for purchase directly from Advantech.
