.jpg) October 14, 2009 - The Industrial Automation Group of Advantech has upgraded their high performance Fanless Box PCs (UNO-2170, 2171, & 2176 series) and the PCI-based Fanless Box PCs (UNO-3072 and UNO-3074 series) to support the SATA interface. Compared to the older PATA communication interface, SATA supports faster data transmissions and provides more reliable serial communications. Advantech’s Fanless Box PCs feature a robust design with power isolation and thermal resistant solutions. This is achieved through special power circuits that keep the system ground apart from the chassis ground, enhancing isolation from external electrical interference and also providing higher system reliability. Advantech’s Fanless Box PCs are designed with strict thermal testing criteria which ensure the system will operate at a stable temperature, even when the CPU is under 100% load.
