.jpg) SANTA CLARA, Calif., Nov. 28, 2007 - Agilent Technologies announced the Agilent BenchLink Data Logger Pro software for the Agilent 34970A and 34980A data acquisition/switch units. This software enables advanced data-logging tasks with decision-making and limited checking, and requires no programming. It is ideal for engineers acquiring data for design verification and simple automated tests in electronics, automotive, aerospace/defense, medical, communications and computer industries. Using the Agilent BenchLink Data Logger Pro software, engineers can perform advanced data logging with limits and decision-making functionality in a matter of minutes. When the process is initiated, the data is collected, evaluated and acted on in real time. This new software supports both of Agilent's popular 34970A and 34980A data acquisition/switch units and their accompanying plug-in modules. The software can control these instruments, and with action scripts it has the capability to send SCPI commands to other instruments connected to the PC -- offering a more complete solution for data acquisition. The Agilent 34971A and 34981A Data Acquisition Pro Bundles combine the data acquisition unit with the commonly used multiplexer and Data Logger Pro software for a savings of $100 off the combined price. The Agilent 34970A is a 3-slot data acquisition unit with an integrated 6-1/2 digit digital multimeter (DMM) and offers nine different plug-in modules. It can provide up to 120 measurement channels. The Agilent 34980A is an 8-slot switch/measure unit with an integrated 6-1/2 digit DMM and offers 19 different plug-in modules with high-performance switching to 20GHz, digital I/O, D/A converters, and counter/totalizer capabilities. It is an excellent value for higher-density switching and data acquisition applications. U.S. Pricing and Availability The Agilent 34830A BenchLink Data Logger Pro software is priced at $795. The 34832A software costs $995. The Agilent 34970A 3-slot data acquisition unit with DMM is priced from $1,527. The Agilent 34980A 8-slot switch/measure unit with DMM has a starting price of $2,395.
