AMT adds product inspection to its machine vision practice

Orion, Michigan — January 7, 2008, – Applied Manufacturing Technologies expanded its machine vision practice to include high speed product inspection in the food, pharmaceutical, consumer goods and biotech markets. This growth supplements the company’s current industry leading activities in 2D and 3D robot guidance applications. David Wyatt, 25 year industry veteran and the founder and former president of Midwest Integration, has joined AMT as Staff Engineer to provide technical leadership to the company’s vision activities.

Mr. Wyatt brings over 25 years of automation and vision expertise to AMT after founding Midwest Integration and serving as General Motor’s Machine Intelligence Chairman in the Mid 1980’s. As a charter member of the Machine Vision Association of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) and current chairman of SME’s Machine Vision Technical Community, Mr. Wyatt is committed to providing customers with the most advanced vision technology available. Mr. Wyatt holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from the University of Missouri.
