| B&R introduces APC810 Automation PC with Core Duo | ||

May 19, 2008 - B&R's newest industrial PC generation, the APC810, adds new products to the top of the performance range and is fully integrated in the Automation PC product line. The APC810 is based on the newest Intel Core Duo technology. This technology combines two processor cores in one housing, resulting in a considerable boost in performance over processors with only one processor core. Even so, the power consumption of the Core Duo processors is so low that the APC810 can be operated without a fan. The new PC infrastructure provides faster connection of peripheral devices. In addition to PCI slots, there are also PCI express slots. This new bus topology ensures very fast data throughput and can be used for graphic applications and image processing. Additionally, the APC810 supports serial ATA hard disks, which further increases performance. A gigabit Ethernet interface makes sure that data from external sources is also transferred at a high rate. APC810 Highlights: |
