| ARC starts advisory service for asset lifecycle management | ||
|
||
February 19, 2009 ARC Advisory Group launched an advisory service dedicated exclusively to improving the design, construction, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of asset-intensive facilities. ARCs Asset Lifecycle Management (ALM) Service can help companies in the energy, manufacturing, utility, and other asset-intensive industries to improve the effectiveness of their manufacturing/production, information technology (IT), and human assets and reduce asset-related costs across all asset stages: design, build, operate, and maintain. The service also focuses on effective asset information management (AIM) across all stakeholders in the capital asset value chain. Studies highlight the staggering losses that asset-intensive organizations suffer each year as a result of poor asset lifecycle management and this has spawned new practices and technology solutions, said Sid Snitkin, VP & GM of Enterprise Advisory Services at ARC. Global companies have used ARC reports on both of these fronts to justify ALM investments that have improved their project costs and schedules, and their plant availability, throughput, and operating costs. Subscribers to ARCs ALM Advisory Service receive relevant insights, newsletters, reports, and other materials intended to keep them informed on the latest concepts, trends, technology, and best practices in the field. These materials are prepared by ARC analysts with deep domain knowledge in the appropriate disciplines, including asset information management, IT solutions and technologies for design and build, and IT solutions and technologies for operations and maintenance. These same analysts are available to provide ARCs ALM Advisory Service clients with a personal point of contact, answer specific questions, and provide customized consulting. Finally, a subscription to ARCs new ALM Advisory Service includes tickets to ARCs highly regarded industry workshops and events, such as the recent ALM Workshop in Houston, TX, and 2009 Orlando Forum, in which leading global energy, manufacturing, and engineering companies participated. About ARC Advisory Group Founded in 1986, Dedham, Massachusetts-based ARC Advisory Group has grown to become the thought leader in manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain solutions.
