| AS-I Trade Organization Announces Major Changes |
Name Change and New Board Member Among Changes Scottsdale, AZ - The AS-I Trade Organization announced that effective immediately, the new organization name is AS-Interface USA. The name change reinforces the global success (over 10 million AS-Interface nodes have been sold) of the AS-Interface and Safety at Work technology. Michael Bryant, Executive Director said, “This change is designed to bring the name of the North American member organization in consonance with the other international organizations thus emphasizing the worldwide reach and scope of the AS-Interface technology.” The closer cooperation between the various AS-Interface user organizations mirrors the activities of AS-Interface OEMs and end users. For North America, the success of AS-Interface as an approved and available safety network with direct integration into Rockwell PLCs is again the main focus of most of the AS-Interface USA marketing and educational efforts. In addition, AS-Interface USA also announced the appointment of Mr. Garrett Place of ifm efector as its newest member of the Board of Directors. Mr. Place currently is the product manager of the AS-i Safety product line.
