Scottsdale, AZ - March 29, 2007 - AS-Interface USA continues its tradition of offering quality training to industry professionals with the 2007 One-Day Training Event Program. Classes are free of charge and will train attendees on the use of AS-Interface technology for actuator and sensor networking. More than 200 professionals registered for AS-Interface training last year during its three-city tour, and this years expansion to six locations offers greater variety and opportunity to attend. The first class was held March 1 in Boston, MA, with the next date set for April 12 in Denver, CO. The remaining classes will be held in Greenville, SC on May 22; Memphis, TN in June; St. Louis, MO in August; and Houston, TX in November. These classes train attendees in the application of AS-Interface and demonstrate its usability as a simplified, easy-to-implement, high-speed networking solution. Courses will cover the systems master-slave principle, network construction, data integrity, components, cable and design, and safety networking. The classes also include an overview of AS-Interfaces features, including system specifications and modular expansion options. This training demonstrates the benefits of implementing AS-Interface in factory automation. It offers fast and powerful performance, cost effectiveness, and universal connectivity. With its simple 2-conductor cable, AS-Interface offers a networking solution that is controller independent, modular and interchangeable, with a versatility that manufacturing businesses of all kinds have found to be the most economical and logical low-level solution. All attendees receive hard copies of the presentations, a CD with additional information, a padfolio and pen, plus breakfast and lunch. Prize raffles will be held at various times, including one for a $75 gift certificate to Best Buy. Attendees also have the opportunity to network with other industry professionals and exchange product information. AS-Interface is the simplest of the industrial networking protocols used in PLC, DCS and PC-based automation systems. It's designed for connecting binary (ON/OFF) devices such as actuators and sensors in discrete manufacturing and process applications using a single cable. This intelligent cabling system allows simple sensors and actuators to link through a 2-wire bus, including the supply voltage. Its an open technology supported by leading automation vendors, and is typically the lowest cost solution. Well over 10 million AS-Interface field devices have been installed and proven globally. |
