| ASI expands line of M8 sensor distribution boxes | ||

.jpg) January 22, 2007 - Carlisle, PA - Automation Systems Interconnect, Inc. has announced the expansion of their line of sensor distribution boxes to include a range to handle the popular M8 style of connectors. The NEW M8 sensor distribution boxes are now available in a PUC and PVC cable version, a version with M12 connectors for common power connections along with sensor signals and finally a version which provides terminal blocks allowing for field wiring installation by the customer. The cable version comes standard with a 10 meter cable. Each of the three types is available in 6, 8, 10 and 12 positions and is designed for both 3 and 4 pole connections. The ASI M8 sensor distribution boxes are rated IP67, have a temperature range of -25 degree C to +85 degree C and utilize gold plated contacts to insure reliable connections to the sensor cable. Mating cordsets and molded cables are available in a wide range of styles, lengths and materials to mate with the three distribution boxes and standard sensors that use the M8 connectors. A similar product line expansion has taken place with the M8 molded cables in both the 3 and 4 positions. An excellent feature of the ASI cables is that they are standard in a 3 meter length in the connector to connector versions and 5 meters in the connector to wire, compared to competitors which are 1 and 3 meter respectively. In addition to the cables, the field attachable connectors have been expanded to include straight and 90 degree versions, with and without LED indication, Y and T connectors, and panel mount in both the M8 and M12 versions.
