NovaTech selects COPALP’s STRATON for IEC61131-3 programming

October 26, 2010 – NovaTech (Lenexa, KS) selected COPALP’s STRATON to provide an IEC61131-3 environment on their OrionLX Automation Platform.

Ray Wright, VP Marketing at NovaTech, said of the decision: “We evaluated COPALP’s IEC61131-3 software along with offerings from other established suppliers. We selected STRATON for the following reasons:
  • The ability to seamlessly integrate STRATON into our existing OrionLX offline configuration tool
  • Proven runtime support in our OrionLX Linux platform
  • Software stability - no crashes or unexpected behavior were experienced during our thorough evaluation period
  • Licensing and commercial flexibility to meet our business model (escrow, one-time vs. unit payment models, terms, etc.)
  • Professional pre-sales support including on-site software demonstration and local single point of contact for coordination
  • Hands-on training to enable our design team to get a jump start on development”
