Banner wins pole at Watkins Glen, finishes 3rd
Minneapolis, MN - June 13, 2007 - The Banner Engineering Racing Team captured the pole position for the Sahlen’s Six Hours of the Glen, held Saturday, June 9. Coming off a win at Lime Rock, CT last week, the Banner Racing Team was on a high and running well when Paul Edwards drove the #07 Banner Engineering Pontiac GXP.R to the team’s first pole position of the 2007 season.

The Banner Racing Team turned in a solid effort at Watkins Glen despite some setbacks and avoided several accidents among other vehicles on the track, finishing 3rd and 7th overall.

Edwards and co-driver Kelly Collins started in a strong position Saturday but fell behind due to electrical problems mid-race. Despite this setback, Edwards and Collins came back from two laps behind and finished in 3rd place.

Pilgrim, as co-driver with Leighton Reese and Tim Lewis Jr., had a strong race until a technical penalty cost the team a minute of time. The team delivered solid driving in the time left and finished in 7th place.
