Binder-USA introduces Shield Termination Method for EMI Protection
Camarillo, CA - May 24, 2006 - Binder-USA introduces a new shield termination technique employing a coiled shielding spring which firmly connects a cable's braided shield to a connector's metal housing. This enhancement ensures 360 degree EMI protection and reduces the number of components required for assembly as well as the overall assembly time. The new termination technique is available on Binder Series 713, 715 and 825 M12 threaded connectors. The introduction of the coil spring increases EMI protection while maintaining the IP67 protection rating. Connectors will accept cable as large as 9mm in diameter and up to 5 conductors can be terminated.

Binder-USA, LP is the US based subsidiary of Franz Binder GmbH & Co., a global designer and manufacturer of circular connectors and cord sets for use in industrial environments including factory automation, process control, and medical technology applications.
