July 22, 2009 - The System Diagnostics Manager from B&R offers users a wide range of diagnostics options. Based on the B&R real-time operating system, the new tool allows seamless system diagnostics from any location using any web browser (Intranet or Internet). User-specific diagnostics tools for analyzing a system with regard to configuration or runtime settings are now no longer needed. Use of the Automation Studio software tool is not necessary. The only requirement for using all of the diagnostics options is a web browser and a TCP/IP connection. Through the use of the System Diagnostics Manager, users profit from simple and fast access to diagnostics data during commissioning, field tests and operation of the machine. Additionally, the availability of fast access from any location saves considerable amounts of time and money. Many different diagnostics options In addition to system configuration and runtime parameter analysis, a software analysis can be performed to easily check software modules and versions on the target system. Hardware settings on the target system can be quickly checked using the new diagnostics tool functions. Recording of all sequential tasks provides detailed information about the active machine process. The system logbook informs the user of system events during startup and operation. |
