Brady introduces lockout/tagout products
Lockout/Tagout Solutions Catalog features new additions to Brady's extensive line of hazardous energy control products

MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN - MARCH 5, 2007 - Brady has introduced several new products, including Keyed Alike Padlock Sets, Combined Lock Storage/Group Lock Boxes, Two-Part Perforated Tags, and Personal Lockout Kits. The products are now available in the company's Lockout/Tagout Solutions catalog.

Brady Keyed Alike Padlock Sets are the right choice for companies whose employees must lockout multiple hazardous energy sources. They are available in 3-packs or 6-packs in three padlock types: safety padlocks with a nonconductive, non-sparking body; aluminum padlocks; and steel padlocks. Providing each employee with keyed alike padlocks speeds LOTO operations - no more wasted time searching through a confusing mass of keys. Key cuts are changed sequentially from pack to pack to avoid the shipment of duplicate keys within an order.

Brady's new Combined Lock Storage / Group Lock Box includes two compartments: one for storing padlocks when not in use, and another for securing keys during group lockouts. They feature rugged metal construction and include a Lexan(R) window in the group lockout compartment for easy viewing. The boxes are available in two sizes, with group lockout spaces for 17 or 34 padlocks and storage compartments for 50 or 125 padlocks.

Brady Two-part Perforated Tags can be used to simplify the management of padlock keys in lockout applications and enhance overall safety in lockout or tagout applications. A matching serial number is printed on both the tag and the detachable stub. In lockout applications, the tag can be attached to the padlock to identify the employee, with the stub attached to the key, making group lockouts more efficient by helping employees quickly match keys with locks. In tagout applications, the person who applies the tag keeps the stub. Only the person holding the stub is permitted to remove the tag, avoiding confusion and enhancing operational control and tagout safety.

Designed for use by individual employees, Brady's Personal Lockout Kits include keyed alike padlocks, so all locks in the kit can be opened with one key. The kits feature Brady's most popular and versatile lockout devices, allowing workers to lockout more control points with fewer devices. The kits are configured for different applications, and come in a rugged belt pouch or toolbox for easy storage and portability.

More information on Brady's entire line of lockout solutions is available in Brady's Lockout/Tagout Solutions Catalog, featuring these and other new products, including wall-mounted lockout stations, push button covers, and more. The catalog also offers guidelines for meeting OSHA regulations and ways to quickly establish and maintain a compliant, effective, and efficient hazardous energy control program.
