September 3, 2008 - Brown & Sharpe TESA announced the TESAVISIO 200 Vision non-contact video measuring machine, a high precision, scalable system that can be reconfigured at any time. TESAVISIO 200's measurement range is 200 x 100 x 150 mm. The manual system is ideal for smaller parts, shop floor measurement, and inspection applications in medical, stamping, aerospace, plastics and more.

The TESAVISIO 200 package includes a high resolution Color CCD camera (752 x 582 pixels) with manual focus and course or fine adjustment features. Linear encoders with 0.05 ìm resolution are mounted an each axis. The system has a variety of fixed lens options, as well as a manual zoom index that can be set to different zoom positions. The configuration also includes a computer and 19" monitor to view high resolution images captured by the vision system.

The TESAVISIO 200 comes standard with TESA-VISTA measurement software providing an easy-to-use interface designed for basic shop floor applications. The product is also offered with optional PC-DMIS Pro or PC-DMIS CAD software, both advanced solutions for measurement applications in two and three dimensions. The software offers both on-line and off-line programming, automatic edge detection, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and more. PC-DMIS also provides on-screen viewing of measured values including those related to the position of geometric elements and edge capture. Users can choose from a variety of CAD import options and several formats for inspection reports that can be custom-made to their specific needs. Pricing starts at $14,000 with the TESA-VISTA software.

Other features include a solid granite base and column, pre-stressed carriages mounted on ultra-precise monorails, and linear encoders mounted on each axis. A handy red laser pointer helps to locate features to be checked. The TESAVISIO 200 has long lasting LED light sources, and its transmitted light is produced by a green LED with programmable light intensity.
