| B&R adds IP69K protection to its HMIs | ||
|

October 25, 2010 - B&R Industrial Automation offers certified IP69K protection for its HMI devices ranging from visualization terminals with modular interface cards to Power Panels with integrated control and drive technology. These operating units are produced according to DIN 40050 and are available with screen dimensions from 5.7" to 15". B&R's IP69K operating units have an ultra-modern surface design and stand up extremely well to frequent cleaning, making them an industry standard for reliable automation devices in harsh industrial environments. IP69K certification distinguishes the highest level of reliability For the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries, where the use of high pressure cleaning equipments is standard procedure, B&R IP69K operating units offer the highest level of reliability and robustness because of a unique combination stainless steel front and hygienic design. For this reason, applications that are constantly subject to high humidity profit from reliable protection against the penetration of water, even under high pressure. With IP69K, the number 6 defines protection of the electrical equipment against the penetration of solids such as dust by being completely sealed, and 9K defines protection against the penetration of water during high pressure or steam cleaning. Optimal corrosion protection and high resistance to contamination ensure maximum cleanliness and sterility, particularly with "open" processes in which products come into direct contact with the manufacturing equipment. IP69K operating units provide optimum working conditions, even in industrial environments where hygiene is critical. Highlights |
