Burkert Announces Type 265X Quarter-Turn Ball Valve Systems

Burkert Announces Type 265X Quarter-Turn Ball Valve Systems
Burkert’s Type 265X Quarter-Turn Ball Valve Systems meet the challenges of virtually any kind of process industry application, from water treatment and chemical processing to textile manufacturing and tank farming. The Type 265X accommodates neutral fluids and gases, ultra-pure water, slightly aggressive fluids, and slightly contaminated fluids.

The Type 265X comprises two variable modules: valve body and actuator. The stainless steel valve body is available in two configurations:

  • Two-Piece — This robust, economical valve body is ideal for applications where replacing the valve is preferrable to maintaining the valve.

  • Three-Piece — Designed for heavy-duty industrial applications, this body allows inline maintenance. Valve upkeep is fast and easy, as rotating the center part of the valve body out of the line can do seal/seat changes.

Both valve bodies feature a 0 to 230 psi pressure range and maximum viscosity capability of 40 mm2/s. Medium temperature range is 14°F to 248°F.

A quarter-turn is all that’s required to open the Type 265X. This is accomplished via a pneumatic actuator or high-performance electric actuator. Depending on the application, the Type 265X system with pneumatic actuation can incorporate Burkert pilot valves, electric position feedback unit, or a control head (with DeviceNET) offering on/off control functionality. The Type 265X takes advantage of Burkert’s decentralized intelligence technology, offering an efficient point-to-point connection between valve and sensor.
