| Burkert’s AirLINE Type 8644 Remote Process Actuation and Control System Now Compatible with Rockwell Point I/O System |
.jpg) Designed for maximum flexibility, AirLINE is the only system, which allows Rockwell’s Point I/O modules and high-performance Burkert solenoid pilot valves to be mounted in a single, compact, rail-mount assembly. A Burkert/Rockwell AirLINE supports virtually any process field device — pneumatic or electronic. The system’s modular construction permits configuration of customized and pre-mounted/pre-tested solutions that are ideal for applications where flexibility and low cost are of importance. Depending on the application, the system can incorporate up to 13 modules (2X and 8X module types), with a maximum of 64 valves accepted. The supported Fieldbus interface includes DeviceNet. The AirLINE system finds application across many markets. These include: The Burkert 11 mm and 16mm wide solenoid pilot valves are available in 3/2, 5/2, 5/3 and 5/2 latching functions. Flow rates are available from 180 liters/minute to 650 liters/minute. These valves incorporate Burkert’s rocker technology, which permits the valves to handle high pressures while keeping power consumption low and response times fast. Rocker technology also enables high cycle life.
