Christensen Display Announces Flat Panel Monitors For Honeywell TDC3000 Console

Christensen Display Announces Flat Panel Monitors For Honeywell TDC3000 Console
Retrofit package replaces CRT, extends system life, lowers cost

Houston, TX. October 2004: Christensen Display Products is pleased to announce a 20” Flat Panel retrofit package for the Honeywell TDC3000 Console. This specialized LCD system is specifically engineered for compatibility with the older process control video output and to mechanically mount into the console furniture. Front bezel and touchscreen are left undisturbed. Replacement takes minutes, not hours and does not require any specialized tools.

“Many process control users have asked for our superior LCD technology in older DCS applications” comments Chris Arrowsmith of Christensen Display. “While we don’t consider them maliciously proprietary, older style video signals present some technical challenges to standard LCD displays. We’ve responded with a superior performing display system that exactly matches this older video output and is a quick mechanical drop in replacement.”

There are tens of thousands of large CRT based displays running process control systems. With the demise of the CRT and lack of spare parts support growing more acute by the day, the need for a modern day compatible LCD retrofit package is paramount. The new assembly packages are available in several configurations. They are available now from many full line industrial automation distributors or the manufacturer.

Christensen Display Products, located in the Seattle area, designs and manufactures high performance flat panel monitors for the process control, industrial automation and other markets. Their products are sold under their own and other brand names.
