Coastal Flow connects to Bullhorn Remote Monitoring systems

December 21, 2011 - Coastal Flow Measurement connected their BirdDog Remote Data Retrieval to American Innovations' Bullhorn Remote Monitoring systems to measure data and report on alarm conditions for oil and gas assets.

The BirdDog system collects data and monitors field operations. By coupling the Bullhorn and BirdDog systems, Coastal Flow will offer robust alarming capabilities to customers in addition to data collection. Bullhorn will send alarms securely via satellite or digital cellular networks when equipment reaches pre-programmed parameters such as a high or low tank level. BirdDog system users can view their data and alarms in customized web page layouts, and advanced security features permit data to be selectively viewed and shared.

By using these systems for remote monitoring, companies can obtain measurement data and address critical issues efficiently, without the cost of building and maintaining a complex SCADA system.
