ASI introduces DAS.4l feed through terminal block
August 25, 2008 - Automation Systems Interconnect expands its line of double level terminal blocks for control loop wiring applications. The DAS.4 double level feed through terminal block can be used in those panel applications where space savings is important and the requirement is for feed through connections. The DSS.4, double level terminal block features a feed through connection on the bottom for one side of the control loop and a knife disconnect on the upper level for easy opening and testing of the other side of the loop. The disconnect lever is color coded green so that when in either the open or closed position it will be easily recognizable to the operator.

Now with the addition of the DSFA.4 and related accessories the customer has the option of inserting either a small plug-in blade type micro fuse or a holder that will accept the standard 5 X 20mm fuse. The customer can also order a new LED version which will provide blown fuse indication for easy and quick determination of circuit problems.

Each of these 6mm wide space saving terminal blocks have also been designed to accept the new low-cost easy to insert push in jumper, the PTC. Terminal block markers can be added to each wiring location to insure ease and accuracy of wiring. The markers can also be printed in any of the industrial printing systems from ASI therefore allowing the customer to print information pertinent to the project on each marker.

This complete line of space saving control wiring terminal blocks has UL approval and is rated at accept up to a 10 AWG wire. In addition, for use in chemical plant applications, each of these control loop wiring terminal blocks are also available in ATEX approved, EXi versions.
