Cyberlogic releases OPC Crosslink for OPC data bridging
November 13, 2008 - Cyberlogic today introduced OPC Crosslink Suite as part of the company’s Vista-compatible release of its compliance-certified OPC products.

The OPC Crosslink Suite is a single product providing three solutions for the user to:
  • Bridge data between OPC servers
  • Configure an OPC Data Concentrator
  • Configure Redundant OPC servers

OPC Crosslink is integrated into Cyberlogic’s Universal OPC Server architecture and the suite provides all the native features of the Cyberlogic’s compliance-certified OPC Server.

In addition to OPC Crosslink Suite, Cyberlogic unveiled a new Premier line of OPC products to complement its current, best-selling OPC server suite packages. According to Muller, the DHX OPC Premier Suite and the MBX OPC Premier Suite products include the integrated OPC Crosslink and represent the most powerful OPC products available for Allen-Bradley and Modicon users.

Both the DHX and MBX OPC Premier Suites are delivered with all required device drivers, include Cyberlogic’s high-performance, compliance-certified OPC Server and all features of the OPC Crosslink Suite.

Cyberlogic’s DHX and MBX OPC Premier Suites extend the capabilities of the OPC Crosslink technology. With a single product, a user can:
  • Configure an OPC Server
  • Bridge data between OPC servers
  • Bridge data between PLCs
  • Bridge data between OPC servers and PLCs
  • Configure an OPC Data Concentrator
  • Configure redundant OPC servers
  • Configure redundant PLCs
  • Configure redundant networks

Cyberlogic also announced that all of its new version 7 products support Windows Vista in addition to Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows Server 2008 and Windows Server 2003.

“An unlimited number of OPC servers can be used for OPC data bridging, OPC data concentration and OPC server redundancy,” explained Dan Muller, Cyberlogic’s Director of Product Development. “This is a single product with an extensive set of features that work together and allow creative solutions. For example, you can bridge data between redundant source and destination OPC servers. There is no other product on the market comparable to OPC Crosslink Suite,” he added.

Cyberlogic is the leading independent supplier of OPC and industrial communication software with more than a quarter-million copies shipped to 130 countries.

Cyberlogic OPC Server Suites are integrated, all-in-one products. Their built-in reliability features allow the configuration of an unlimited number of redundant OPC servers, redundant networks and redundant devices. Cyberlogic’s Universal OPC Server includes a Health Monitor that continuously verifies the operation of each OPC server, network and device, automatically switching to backups when there is a problem. The built-in unsolicited messaging feature allows the configuration of an unlimited number of nodes that can initiate unsolicited data transmission, eliminating the need for polling for data.
