April 5, 2011 - For the third consecutive year, Phoenix Contact brings the Hanover Fair (Hannover Messe) to Americans unable to travel to Germany. The company is posting video news reports from the show on its website (http://www.phoenixcontact.com/service/8790.htm) and YouTube channel
 (http://www.youtube.com/phoenixcontactusa) throughout the week.

Phoenix Contact’s theme for the 2011 show is “Solutions for the future.” The videos will showcase innovations across many industries, but in keeping with the theme, some highlights will include:

  • Wind energy and photovoltaics
  • E-mobility
  • Water supply
  • Smart energy distribution
  • Energy efficiency

“We’re excited to host about 40 American guests at the Hannover Messe this year, so that some of our customers can see this exciting event first-hand,” said Doug Peterson, vice president and general manager of Phoenix Contact USA. “These videos can’t replicate the experience of actually visiting the show, but they do offer a sneak peak at some of the latest trends in automation. We hope they give American engineers a better understanding of the size and scope of Hanover Fair.”

Hanover Fair is the world’s largest industrial technology fair. It runs from April 4 through 8 in Hanover, Germany. Phoenix Contact has exhibited at the Hanover Fair since 1957.
