| Danaher Motion Acquires G&L Motion Control, Inc. |
WOOD DALE, IL–May 26, 2005–Danaher Motion announced that it has acquired G&L Motion Control, Inc. (GLMC), a leader in motion-centric machine control solutions from ThyssenKrupp Düsseldorf, Germany. The transaction is limited to the G&L Motion Control business located in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin. Furthermore, this transaction does not include any G&L machine tool company. GLMC is a global solutions supplier to machine building OEMs in packaging, converting, assembly, and factory automation. GLMC will be part of the Motion Control Systems Center of Excellence in Danaher’s motion platform. “The acquisition of G&L Motion Control strengthens our motion portfolio particularly for machine builders seeking automation partners with a broad level of knowledge and experience in optimizing mechatronic solutions,” said Phil Strong, president of Motion Control Systems for Danaher Motion. “In addition, they have a long established leadership in providing industry standard based solutions that integrate motion and machine control.
