| Danaher Motion Introduces New SECO AC Servo Fusion Drive |
WOOD DALE, IL Danaher Motion introduces the new SECO FX4000 Fusion all-digital vector drive. These drives combine the functionality of a high performance AC flux vector drive, high horsepower servo drive, programmable motion controller and PLC into a single, compact package. A unique drive architecture enables Fusion drives to control AC induction, AC synchronous or brushless DC motors with a power range from 1 HP to 350 HP. They are available in enclosed NEMA 4/12 (up to 40 HP/460V), NEMA 1 (50 HP and above) or open chassis configurations. They provide extensive analog and digital I/O, feedback and serial communication capabilities, with dynamic braking control provided on all models. Its modular design shares a common power platform with the SV3000 and SL3000 series variable frequency drives to allow quick delivery, with most models shipping within 5 working days. The Fusion drive is ideal for positioning applications such as traversing, indexing, cut-to-length, web tension control, elevators/hoists, press feeders and wire drawing, among others. Application-specific firmware enables users to tailor specific drive features and operation to their particular needs. Further customization is possible with a number of the programs using the UEdit Windows-based programming tool that allows users to extend their applications using ladder logic and function blocks. With a simple auto-tuning feature that automatically adjusts virtually all motor and inertial parameters to the motor and connected load, Fusion drives are completely tuned within minutes. A keypad and LCD, standard on every unit, provide an easy-to-use and easy-to-understand operator interface for setting and viewing operating parameters and diagnostics. Multiple Fusion drives can be operated from a common bus; this enables the recovery of regenerated energy for a more efficient system.
