| Danaher Motion New Stainless Steel Marine Actuators Offer Complete Watercraft Control – Electrically |
 Eliminates need for costly hydraulic systems WOOD DALE, IL – Danaher Motion introduces Thomson Electrak™ Marine Actuators. This complete line of linear actuators provides boat and other marine manufacturers with an ideal source of push-pull power on watercraft. They offer compact size, broad load capabilities and 12 or 24 VDC operation, drawing power only when the load is being moved for optimum efficiency and battery life. “Electrak actuators offer users complete control of Key aspects of a boat’s operation electrically, without the complication, cost and maintenance associated with hydraulic systems,” says Al Wroblaski, Product Manager. Typical marine applications include raising, lowering and holding engine hatch covers; boom control when raising or lowering the mainsail; opening, closing and holding windows; downhaul control; raising and lowering trailer hitches; and seat positioning. Electrak actuators are available with stroke lengths from 2 to 24 inches and load ratings from 25 to 1500 lbs. They feature ball or acme screw drives for high or moderate load ratings, and hold loads for safety when power is off. Built-in brakes are standard on ball bearing screw models to prevent back driving. They are easy to install with clevis mounting, while eliminating the need for hoses, pumps, filters, regulators and periodic maintenance.
