Danaher Webinar explains how to campaign for the BiSS Serial Protocol
Chicago, IL - November 28, 2006 – The BiSS webinar is part of a campaign launched recently by Danaher Industrial Controls called the "Campaign for Absolute Freedom," which seeks to accelerate the adoption of www.feedbackdevices.com/biss , and allows engineers to petition drive manufacturers to support the BiSS protocol on their drives.

BiSS runs faster than current alternatives, and it allows for remote encoder diagnostics. BiSS can be configured for point-to-point use, with one controller (master) and one encoder (slave), or with one master and multiple slaves. This can significantly reduce wiring expense. Unlike analog protocols, the BiSS is all digital, avoiding the need for A/D converters and allowing long cable lengths.
