| Danaher Webinar explains how to campaign for the BiSS Serial Protocol | ||
|
||
Chicago, IL - November 28, 2006 The BiSS webinar is part of a campaign launched recently by Danaher Industrial Controls called the "Campaign for Absolute Freedom," which seeks to accelerate the adoption of www.feedbackdevices.com/biss , and allows engineers to petition drive manufacturers to support the BiSS protocol on their drives. BiSS runs faster than current alternatives, and it allows for remote encoder diagnostics. BiSS can be configured for point-to-point use, with one controller (master) and one encoder (slave), or with one master and multiple slaves. This can significantly reduce wiring expense. Unlike analog protocols, the BiSS is all digital, avoiding the need for A/D converters and allowing long cable lengths. About Danaher Industrial Controls Danaher Industrial Controls Group designs manufacturers and markets a wide variety of encoders, counters, motion and process controls and timing products used throughout Factory and Process Automation applications worldwide, including Dynapar, NorthStar, and Hengstler brand encoders, Harowe brand resolvers, Veeder-Root brand counters, Eagle-Signal brand timers, Partlow brand controllers and recorders, West brand controllers, PMA brand controllers and Anderson brand and Negele brand sanitary process instrumentation. |
