February 23, 2007, Bellevue, WA – The SRM7210E, Data-Linc Group’s newest SRM Family modem, offers long-range, high speed 900 MHz radio modem with throughput speeds of up to 800 Kbps and a range of 20 miles plus. Based upon the same core technology as the field proven SRM6210E, the SRM7210E modem is compatible with LincView OPC RF network diagnostic software tool.

The SRM7210E uses Data-Linc Group’s new enhanced RF technology that allows much higher over-the-air speeds while maintaining a high level of reliability even across long distances. Using “Wideband Frequency Hopping” technology the SRM7210E provides superior data rates— up to six times faster then standard Frequency Hopping technology— and unsurpassed performance in the 900 MHz radio market.

The SRM7210E offers all of the features shared by the other SRM Family of radio modems providing solutions for a wide range of network topologies from a simple point-to-point network to complex multipoint networks with virtually an unlimited number of Repeaters. And now, these simple to complex high-speed Ethernet RF networks can be managed with Data-Linc’s LincView OPC.

“We needed to be sure that we would be able to maintain our high level of reliability, quality and support before adding the SRM7210E to the LincView OPC compatibility list” said Randy Maes Director of Technology. “We are now at that point.”

LincView OPC diagnostic software allows real time monitoring of key RF information in a given SRM radio network. It also offers the ability to incorporate the information directly into an HMI application via the OPC technology, giving the SCADA system operator the ability to view important radio performance information such as received and transmitted signal levels, RF noise, radio temperature and other data needed to evaluate and/or diagnose system performance.
