| Data Translation adds RTDs to DT9872 TEMPpoint system | ||

 MARLBORO, MA January 22, 2008 − Data Translation announced the DT9872 – the RTD version of the TEMPpoint Temperature Measurement Instrument product line. The DT9872 TEMPpoint is a PC-based instrument designed for high accuracy and industrial robustness. The DT9872 allows direct RTD measurements with a PC. The DT9872 features virtually no warm-up time. New and evolving eco-friendly applications for WIMAX, semiconductor testing, and bio-analytical products have requested such capability. Temperature values can be viewed, graphed, exported to Excel, and do limit checking for control or monitoring of a manufacturing process. The DT9872 offers maximum precision and productivity with 48, 4-wire RTD inputs with Kelvin sensing to eliminate measurement errors. DT9872 users can quickly and easily attach Platinum 100 Ώ(Pt100), Platinum 500 Ώ (Pt500), or Platinum 1000 Ώ (Pt1000) RTD’s and mix and match these with voltage inputs for unsurpassed versatility in measurement. Great care was taken in the design to protect signal integrity and the DT9872 provides 1000V channel-to-channel isolation, virtually creating 48 separate instruments but all in one small box. Key Design Features of DT9872 Offering Unmatched Accuracy and Versatility TEMPpoint application software TEMPpoint software enables customers to utilize the full functionality of their TEMPpoint instrument. The TEMPpoint application is complete with a chart recorder to view, analyze and save all 48 channels as well as export directly to Microsoft Excel. The channel overview provides a digital readout of all 48 channels in one easy-to-view window. Post analysis, zoom and print functions are provided in the file viewer. Setting limits and controlling external events are also included in this turnkey application. The TEMPpoint application is an executable program created with Measure Foundry that can be easily modified or expanded to meet a particular need. Pricing and Availability The DT9872 for RTD inputs is priced at $7,995 and is shipping in February. Thermocouple and voltage models for USB and Ethernet (LXI) are also available.
