| Datalogic and Vanderlande Industries to Provide Bar Code Scanners for Baggage Handling at Several Airports Wolrdwide | ||

Datalogic Benelux has received a large order of more than Euro 600,000 from Vanderlande Industries to provide bar code scanners for baggage handling systems in several airports worldwide. Bologna, April 2006. Vanderlande Industries has recently signed a contract with Datalogic for the supply of a large number of fixed position laser scanners. Vanderlande Industries is one of the largest worldwide suppliers of automated material handling systems for the handling of baggage at airports and goods in distribution centres, express parcel sorting facilities and the manufacturing industry. For its projects in baggage handling systems in the international airports of Ankara, Dalaman, Izmir, Moscow and Cairo, Vanderlande Industries has chosen Datalogic Benelux as the supplier of complete bar code scanner solutions based on the DS8100A and DX8200A omni-directional laser bar code scanners. This order, with a total value of more than Euro 600,000, is proof that the market leader Datalogic is considered to be an authoritative player in the field of omni-directional scanning systems. Datalogic and Vanderlande Industries have been working together for many years in the field of automated material handling systems. This order confirms, in particular, the validity of Datalogics bar code scanners for use in baggage handling applications ranging from local airports to the worlds largest facilities.
