London - November 1, 2007 - California-based Dust Networks has won the Amec Award for Innovation and Excellence in SMEs from the Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) at an awards ceremony in London. Dust Networks developed a practical solution to remove barriers to reliable, battery-operated wireless sensor networking in harsh industrial manufacturing environments. The company was recognized for its development of the Time Synchronized Mesh Protocol (TSMP). TSMP is a foundational building block of WirelessHART , the processing industry's first standard for intelligent wireless sensor networking.
