Dytran introduces 3023A9 triaxial accelerometer
July 22, 2009 – Dytran Instruments introduces a miniature triaxial accelerometer, utilizing the latest in quartz shear technology, coupled with 2-wire internal IEPE electronics. Model 3023A9 contains three miniature quartz laminar shear mode accelerometer elements mounted to a single support and welded into a titanium housing. The three elements are mounted orthogonally to each other so that they can measure the complete motion of a point.

This unit is designed to mount by means of a 10-32 tapped hole in the base. It has a sensitivity of 1 mV/g, single connector, is hermetically sealed and weighs only 4 grams. The 3023A9 is unique in that the labels of the axes X, Y and Z are laser marked in a large font size on the three orthogonal faces aiding the user in orienting the sensor.

The model 3023A9 is the newest addition to the 3023A family of triaxial accelerometers. These units vary in sensitivity (1 mV/g to 100 mV/g), mounting style (10-32 stud, 5-40 stud, and adhesive) and connector (single 4-pin or single 5-pin). High temperature and TEDS versions are also available.

Designed for modal analysis, the 3023A series is also ideal for use in the following applications: Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH), Environmental Stress Screening (ESS), and general purpose vibration.
