Eaton's Hydraulics Group Joins PLCopen

April 27, 2009 - Eaton’s Hydraulics Group has joined PLCopen.

“PLCopen is pleased to welcome Eaton’s Hydraulics Group to PLCopen, and we look forward to their participation in the organization,” commented Eelco Van Der Wal, Managing Director PLCopen.

“PLCopen software standards are becoming increasingly important to advance technology, simplify application engineering, and to compete in world markets,” said Clyde Thomas, Eaton’s Hydraulics Group, Senior Manager of Technical Services. “The increasing integration of control technology with hydraulics will bring more value to users, and adhering to and promoting standards in this area will allow for faster and better adoption.”

Dr. Kenneth Ryan PLCopen board member and Director of the Center for Applied Mechatronics at Alexandria Technical College in Alexandria, Minnesota, USA further noted, “Eaton is quickly becoming active in PLCopen, providing ideas and making the commitment to participate in new initiatives PLCopen will be announcing this year.”
