Emerson Process Management News
| Emerson enhances DeltaV for More Precise Control | ||

Emerson Process Management enhanced the DeltaV system with the release of version 8.4 software. Included in this release is easier access to historical data, easier data backup, and an enhanced operator interface. This enables operators to more quickly access necessary key process parameters and respond more quickly to ongoing operational needs. "This software release makes it easier for operators to view and save important operating data," said Dave Deitz, director of marketing for the DeltaV system. "Now operators can view historical trends directly in the DeltaV Operate view, helping them make better decisions. We've also improved our operating console with a four-monitor workstation with more screen 'real estate' so operators can view faceplates, trends and other windows, without blocking their primary control graphics. The operator console can now have a completely configurable operator keyboard to speed operator responses to ongoing activities." |
